Last 22 and 23 September, the Constantinian Order made a pilgrimage to the tomb of S.Pio on the occasion of the first feast day of the Saint. This event saw the participation of many Constantinian Knights and Ladies, among which we mention the Grand Prefect Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies and his wife, the Grand Prior H.E. Cardinal F. Pompedda, and other important people of the Order. The Order also paid travel and accommodation expenditures to a delegation of disabled people from Abruzzo and their escort so that they could go to San Giovanni Rotondo for a pilgrimage.
In the afternoon of 23 September, a Solemn Pontifical Mass celebrated by the Grand Prior took place in the Apulian Sanctuary. During this celebration, the Franciscan Friars received the gift of a precious golden chalice presented by the Order.
At the end of the ceremony, all the participants had a private visit to the cell and tomb of S.Pio. A crowd gathered for the occasion in front of the church warmly greeted the Constantinian group.
